Populus Alba - Dark Age of Camelot

After promotions we all gathered around the Round Table in the tradition of our great, past king, Arthur. Discussion was open to all and we hosted a few guests…

Faustaff says, "Shadoh asked a question"

Sheres says, "Shadoh?"

Ktuur says, "I have often been among men in the barracks that dinno feel any kinship other than their fellow armsmen."

Sheres nods to Ktuur.

Ktuur says, "I have also often seen those of magical orders that are quite secular and not understandin o' other viewpoints"

Ktuur says, "I would like ta thinks that we as a guild are beyond that, but it mayhap be that ye wish ta appoint individuals within the guild to be leaders of their professions.  Fer the purpose o' assistin others of their followin."

Sheres says, "I understand."

Ktuur says, "I dunno' wish ta be one o' them, per se, but I seen it work in the past and it benefited those professions greatly ta share th'wisdom in such a way."

Sheres says, "In the near future, we will have these."

Ktuur says, "I be done."

Akabe says, "That is an excellent idea, Grimbeorn and Elros have been invaluable"

Ktuur shuffles self-consciously.

Sheres says, "As of now we will develop a troop, within it"

Sheres says, "We will have platoons with certain skills sets."

Sheres says, "I will have plans drawn up for review"

Sheres says, "We can all comment on them."

Sheres says, "We are still in need of recruits to fill a cohort."

Ktuur nods.

Zantar looks for his notes on the plans.

Sheres says, "We will have our scouts, our magic users, etc."

Sheres says, "I thank you Ktuur for your comments."

Shadoh claps!

Sheres says, "Shadoh?"

Ktuur says, "Most welcome, m'lord.  I hope it serves ye well"

Faustaff says, "I wish to speak after Shadoh"

Sheres says, "Aye Faustaff."

Shadoh says, "How do we deposit an item into the guild vault?"

Sheres says, "Ah, that is caught up in bureaucracy at the moment."

Shadoh says, "Ok"

Sheres says, "I will let you know when the kingdom implements that for us."

Shadoh says, "ah, I see..."

Vohari says, "If it tis gold ya wish ta deposit Ill hold it fer ya!"

Sheres says, "thank you brother."

Faustaff says, "HAR!"

Valvan laughs!

Sheres laughs out loud.

Faustaff says, "I as well!"

Shadoh blushes.

Valvan laughs!

Sheres says, "I bet you would you Pict!"

Nasreena chuckles softly.

Sheres says, "Faustaff, speak to us brother."

Faustaff says, "Yes."

Faustaff says, "My statement is more of a question to the leadership and the guild as a whole... as well as an opinion"

Sheres nods.

Faustaff says, "I will begin thus..."

Sheres says, "Ack!"

Sheres glares at the buffoon dancing on the Round Table.

Valvan says, "Tis a good one Faustaff, we need to work together. To learn together."

Faustaff says, "my point be about having common guild colors amongst the members"

Sheres says, "Off the table, have some respect please."

Delinth sighs.

Valvan shakes his head.

Faustaff says, "I think our colors be quite fine, I’ve grown quite fond of them"

Sheres says, "Sorry for the interruption brother."

Sheres chuckles.

Valvan grins.

Faustaff says, "but I notice none of the guild members seem to have any unity in the color of their choosing"

Sheres says, "Ah, continue."

Faustaff says, "Between members, mind you"

Valvan raises one brow.

Faustaff says, "I have not been able to afford to find an exact match to our main color, but I believe we can all maybe agree on 1 or 2 colors we can all wear that strengthens our visual bond between each of us"

Valvan nods.

Sheres says, "I agree, we can talk about this more."

Faustaff says, "That is my opinion, and wish your feedback "

Vohari says, "aye Faustaff boot not that bluty orange ya had the uther nite"

You send, "Make a decision yet?" to Meredeth

Faustaff says, "HAR !"

Delinth snickers.

Sheres chuckles.

Akabe laughs at Akabe!

Grimbeorn chuckles.

Faustaff says, "Yes, twas a hideous sight indeed!"

Faustaff blushes.

Valvan says, "If any need money. I have plenty to get ye started"

Damienn laughs at Faustaff!

Sheres says, "What else Faustaff."

Faustaff says, "that be all"

Sheres nods agreeably with Valvan.

Sheres says, "I thank you, I have given this thought."

Sheres says, "On the battlefield, our colors would be a good way to orientate on the units"

Sheres says, "Know who it is you see."

Faustaff says, "yes, exactly my point... "

Ktuur says, "M'lord?  I dunno' follow ye"

Sheres says, "Colors for our scouts of camouflage would be fine"

Sheres says, "Remember the campaign we just fought in?"

Sheres says, "Hibernia? It was chaos!"

Ktuur says, "Aye... that be true...  twas nightmare."

Sheres says, "Bodies and pieces flying about, hard to get to who we wanted."

Sheres says, "Seeing one of us, in our colors, would be a welcome rallying point in confusion."

Valvan cringes his nose.

Sheres says, "We'll see about the costs of this."

Faustaff says, "Aye."

Sheres says, "Anyone care to comment on colors?"

Grimbeorn says, "Aye, Captains at least should be visible to all"

Sheres nods.

Zantar thinks he looks good in black armour.

Ktuur says, "Aye!  I agree that it would benefit us... I dunno' think that some of us would part with our individualism, though..."

Valvan takes a deep breath.

Elros says, "But scouts should be less of a stand out."

Akabe says, "Agreed, A visible warrior is a dead warrior"

Vohari says, "Aye, dark colours dunnae make me look as fat"

Faustaff says, "we could have a solid color, and only ranking officers wear a different colored headpiece"

Grimbeorn says, "aye us scouts should wear are shade cloaks"

Shadoh says, "Aye, a visible Scout is dead faster than a visible warrior"

Valvan says, "Can it be the Chest Piece instead?"

Zantar says, "aye then they could be nice targets for the enemy"

Sheres says, "When I get a scribe (message board) we can discuss this fully."

Delinth says, "It looks like our colors be white and, uh, brown.  So why not just undye everything and dye the gloves and boots, possibly the helm, brown?"

Valvan says, "Brown helm? "

Valvan laughs!

Sheres chuckles.

Valvan says, "I’m sorry"

Sheres says, "It looked red at the time...."

Faustaff chuckles.

Delinth says, "Well, its better than orange <looks at Faustaff>"

Zantar laughs!

Faustaff cowers.

Akabe says, "I rather like the brown for one"

Faustaff says, "Aye, I like the dried blood color meself"

Akabe laughs!

Sheres says, "Brown and green are good for concealment in sneaking, on the battlefield though, I want us easily distinguished."

Sheres says, "Aye, dried blood."

Damienn says, "but pretty people don't like to go with blood stained robes"

Valvan says, "I agree with our scouts wearing green, at least in Hibernia."

Delinth says, "Good thing you're not pretty Damienn  <Delinth laughs>"

Sheres says, "Front lines of our formations I would like shields up."

Faustaff laughs out loud.

Ktuur says, "We mayhap endin up takin a vote on it… personally, I think Blanco's current colors lend themselves most ta our cloaks… I wish he were here…"

Faustaff says, "HAR!"

Sheres says, "Bladeturn, with the shields will help with the archers."

Sheres says, "Wing units to move ahead to flank."

Valvan says, "Aye but we need to enlist Theurgists Sire."

Sheres says, "Casters and archers between the lines to destroy them."

Sheres nods to Valvan.

Grimbeorn says, "Aye we should practice tactics & movement, heh"

Valvan says, " I fought in Emain last night. Twas total Chaos."

Sheres says, "We should."

Sheres says, "Did you notice our formation tonight?"

Ktuur says, "I has meself a younger cousin that's taken up that profession... I could prob'ly persuade him ta join our ranks."

Sheres says, "That was a first step in order."

Sheres says, "Aye, it would be very intimidating too"

Zantar bangs his fist on the table in agreement.

Sheres says, "A wall of strong Albions"

Sheres says, "Welcome Hupr."

Sheres says, "Anyone else?"

Sheres says, "Say what you will, we are here to learn."

Elros says, "Depends, my first battle out I saw what 5 thanes do to a wall of Albions"

Faustaff says, "and if a group of Hibernians saw a large group together in formation all of the same color, I think they might flee the battlefield altogether!"

Vohari says, "Formations would be effective if shields worked as hey should"

Sheres says, "We can’t stand shoulder to shoulder"

Damienn says, "I have two pieces that I have out grown maybe someone might find use out of em"

Sheres says, "The scouts would be in flanking units to disrupt them"

Sheres says, "and pick off lone units."

Sheres says, "The minstrels will help them move into position faster."

Valvan says, "We need the talents of mages who can mez our enemies giving our archers and other casters time to unload.”

Ktuur says, "We'd have ta spread out, yet maintain form.  Ye gets yerself in a fight with faeries, and they freeze ye up and make ye stand there fer quite a long time..."

Sheres says, "The main body would rush when all in position"

Sheres says, "Agreed."

Delinth says, "I myself am good at helping take down fleeing enemies"

Zantar says, "The other eve when Hibernia I witnessed a tactic that was most effective"

Sheres smiles to Delinth.

Sheres says, "Tell us Seneschal."

Grimbeorn says, "aye we should practice outside the frontiers however before we enter battle"

Zantar says, "Those that attacked would retreat in waves when they where at half health to be healed and a new wave would attack"

Sheres says, "Oui!"

Sheres says, "Have some respect for the Table please."

Valvan sighs.

Grimbeorn says, "Some have no respect"

Zantar says, "They where able to hold off two flanking divisions for a long while"

Sheres says, "Aye, pity."

Sheres says, "Aye, numbers are as important as tactics"

Sheres says, "An army of 20 would be slaughtered when confronted with a swarm twice its numbers."

Grimbeorn says, "Aye well we have some veterans who can teach us well!"

Sheres says, "All you will be veterans soon."

Delinth says, "I have managed to also find a rather effective tactic.  Run up to a Hibernian guard and taunt him so badly he starts swinging at everything that moves out of sheer rage.  Of course this is a suicide mission, but it’s most humorous"

Elros says, "As tactics go, if we could find away to make the clerics and friars not look like clerics and friars it would also help a lot"

Sheres says, "This weekend I will organizing assistance to the young"

Sheres says, "We shall mentor some of you who wish to learn a bit faster."

Ktuur says, "While I dunno doubt th'abilities o' the casters we have among our ranks, it be plain ta me that we are lopsided in our strengths... we do be needin more o' them."

Grimbeorn says, "robes are a good disguise for all I hear"

Sheres says, "The uniforms would help with that Elros, good point"

Sheres nods.

Sheres says, "I plead with you all. Recruit."

Grimbeorn nods.

Sheres says, "I do what I can, but I do not have the time in a day to do what I would like."

Sheres says, "We will not take any fool off the street though."

Grimbeorn says, "We need some magic, heh"

Ktuur says, "But be sure ta make certain they be true ta Camelot.  Dunno take in any ole feller or lass that wags their tongue."

Sheres nods to Ktuur.

Vohari looks downward.

Faustaff says, "hhee"

Grimbeorn chuckles.

Damienn says, "I have two pieces that I have out grown maybe someone might find use out of em"

Sheres says, "I worry about this, they seem to do well at times, know things they shouldn't"

Sheres says, "Anyone other comments?"

Sheres says, "Sen. Zantar is scribing here."

Valvan says, "I have a comment sire."

Sheres says, "I would like to introduce our guests!"

Sheres says, "Meredeth, if you would wave for us."

Sheres says, "Ack"

Sheres says, "Valvan, sorry captain"

Ktuur bows to Meredeth.

Valvan says, "Tis not a problem"

Valvan says, "My thoughts concern our helping each other to gain seasons"

Ktuur picks up a Dark Sheer Great Sword.

Sheres says, "Give us your thoughts."

Eltan says, "Hail all"

Valvan says, "As the less seasoned ones, cannot learn as well in a group with the higher seasoned people"

Sheres says, "Welcome Eltan, glad you could come."

Eltan bows to Zantar.

Valvan says, "Welcome Eltan"

Sheres nods.

Sheres says, "Aye."

Faustaff waves to Eltan.

Eltan says, "My apologies for being so late"

Ktuur says, "Well met, Eltan.  No worries."

Sheres says, "We could watch over them though, keep them from the fate of worms meat!"

Sheres chuckles.

Vohari says, "You d'nay fall through the floor did ya?"

Sheres says, "I feel at times that I neglect the younger."

Sheres says, "I do not want that to be."

Sheres says, "We will all contribute equally over time."

Akabe says, "On behalf of the youth, it has given us a chance to become quite like family"

Shadoh says, "I agree"

Sheres says, "Very good, my intention when I ask you all to join. I need to talk to you all more."

Kaelis says, "Akabe and Shadoh have taken me on a number of hunting trips."

Kaelis says, "I believe it has served us all well."

Ktuur says, "I have not had much ta pass down ta th'youngers, but I do so when I can.  We would do well ta encourage such, I say."

Sheres says, "I do appreciated the efforts the younger have gone through with each other."

Sheres says, "What else would you all like to discuss?"

Damienn says, "I for one think we should incorporate the younger into the practicing of tactics.  All the more seasoned have grouped with each other and know how one another fights."

Valvan says, "Very well, those close to seasons should learn together as you will obtain the full lessons."

Sheres says, "Agreed."

Sheres says, "Any objections?"

Damienn says, "But speaking for myself I have not fought with any of you but Del."

Sheres says, "I would like all of us to spend time together when we are here."

Akabe says, "None from the youth"

Valvan says, "Aye we must make an effort to help our brothers and sisters out."

Sheres says, "I know Capt. Valvan generously sacrifices group partners for his own. For this I am grateful."

Valvan says, "That should be a top priority."

Sheres says, "What else do have?"

Valvan says, "Tis a pleasure Sire."

Sheres says, "Anyone?"

Ktuur shakes his head.

Sheres says, "I would like to introduce our guests, and afterwards do the hand outs."

Valvan says, "Respect to your fellow Albion citizens"

Sheres says, "Yes!"

Sheres says, "We will not be known as rude, pompous and the like."

Valvan says, "We must make a good name for ourselves."

Valvan says, "An alliance would be most beneficial, as long as we have the same objectives and can work together to achieve our goals."

Nasreena nods at Valvan.

Sheres says, "Aye."

Sheres smiles brightly to Drai.

Valvan listens attentively to Vohari.

Vohari says, "I fought shoulder ta shoulder wit her last night..."

Sheres nods to Vohari.

Valvan says, "That didn’t sound right"

Vohari says, "and she is noot one ta back down. She would make a welcome addition to the family"

Sheres smiles widely.

Faustaff cheers at Meredeth!

Vohari says, "now a question sire?"

Sheres says, "Well then...what say you Meredeth?"

Sheres says, "Aye, ask please."

Zantar says, "Aye your word is good enough for me Vohari"

Meredeth says, "I have not made any decisions but I thank you for the invitation."

Vohari says, "this alliance, can ya explain it a bit more, are we talkin a merge or woot?"

Sheres nods to Meredeth.

Ktuur says, "If'n mem'ry serves me correctly, I too has seen her fightin in the frontiers... she be quite the brave lass, and good with 'er sword."

Meredeth says, "I am honored to fight with any number of you"

Sheres says, "Ah, that is one reason Nasreena is here."

Sheres says, "Would you like to explain this to the guild Nasreena?"

Nasreena smiles and nods.

Sheres says, "Come stand next to me."

Sheres says, "You have our attention."

Nasreena says, "Many of you may or may not know that Populus Alba and Se Folme were born at the same time"

Sheres nods.

Nasreena says, "Given our mutual birth, I began speaking with Sheres about the possibility of aligning our guilds"

Nasreena smiles.

Sheres says, "Tell them about your guild."

Nasreena says, "It seems our goals and views on Albion are quite similar"

Nasreena says, "Se Folme is the Hand, the Hand of Albion, come to help bring Albion back from the dark into the age of glory that is so rightly deserves"

Ktuur cheers at Nasreena!

Ktuur claps at Nasreena!

Zantar cheers at Nasreena!

Nasreena says, "to do this, will require much more than just one guild can do ... to do this requires the best and the strongest and the fiercest that Albion has to offer"

Faustaff says, "aye"

Nasreena says, "No more should we wring our hands as reports come in of attacks"

Sheres nods.

Nasreena says, "This requires unity"

Sheres says, "Aye."

Nasreena says, "This is as good a time as any to announce this"

Valvan says, "I have but one question if I may?"

Nasreena stops.

Nasreena says, "Aye?"

Valvan says, "M'lady how many doth thine guild number? How seasoned are they. I am just curious."

Nasreena smiles.

Zantar faints.

Sheres nudges Zantar with his toe.

Nasreena says, "My guild does not yet reach the numbers as yours, but that is a temporary state.  Our seasons grow and we have several that quickly train through their 20s"

Valvan says, "I did not mean to be rude. Just I dunna know of thine guild and would like to learn more."

Sheres nods.

Sheres says, "It is a fair question."

Nasreena says, "Aye, tis a fair question"

Sheres says, "We should adventure together"

Faustaff says, "aye"

Sheres says, "Get to know each other better. Learn a trust."

Valvan says, "Aye would be good for our brothers"

Nasreena says, "Aye, that I would like"

Sheres says, "I thank you Nasreena, you are most welcome."

Sheres says, "Another guest, Eltan!"

Sheres says, "Wave for us friend."

Zantar says, "but what about the announcement m lady]"

Eltan waves to Tern.

Faustaff cheers at Eltan!

Valvan says, "Welcome Eltan"

Delinth cheers at Eltan!

Sheres says, "Oof!"

Sheres says, "Sorry, I didn’t meant o cut you off lass. Please speak."

Eltan says, "My thanks for inviting me"

Nasreena says, "I can say this quickly "

Faustaff looks questioningly at Nasreena.

Sheres apologizes profusely.

Nasreena says, "Given the dream I have just spoken and given the goals that I know need met within our guild ... we have dedicated Andred Shadowright to the work of diplomacy, alliances and unity.  My role will be ensuring that Se Folme has the strength to be an asset"

Sheres notes the name.

Ktuur nods.

Nasreena speaks to Sheres.

Sheres tunes out the merchants.

Ktuur says, "I'm sure we be lookin forward ta workin with Lord Andred"

Nasreena says, "Andred will be speaking to you soon, and sends his regrets he could not attend this eve"

Zantar bows to Nasreena.

Sheres says, "that is fine, I appreciate the communication."

Nasreena curtseys.

Nasreena steps down.

Sheres says, "Any of you have comments on what our friend has said?"

Zantar says, "to clear up an earlier question"

Zantar says, "An alliance doesn’t mean a merger"

Sheres says, "Go ahead Seneschal."

Elros says, "We will need many strong alliances if we wish to threaten enemy castles"

Sheres nods.

Zantar says, "aye"

Grimbeorn says, "aye"

Faustaff says, "aye Elros"

Sheres says, "There are a few in existence already."

Sheres says, "We'll have to investigate these."

Sheres says, "Our numbers along will not win the war, but we must contribute greatly to the battles."

Faustaff says, "strong alliances and good planning will fell a castle :)"

Sheres nods.

Grimbeorn chuckles.

Sheres says, "Anyone else?"

Elros says, "But also we will need to strengthen our order, I would like to see Populus a strong member"

Sheres looks about the room.

Sheres says, "Aye, aye!"

Nasreena nods at Sheres' words.

Faustaff cheers at Elros!

Sheres says, "I thank you again Nasreena."

Sheres smiles.

Zantar pledges to fight to the death for the glory of Albion.

Sheres says, "Eltan!"

Sheres says, "Wave to us!"

Faustaff cheers at Eltan!

Zantar waves to Nasreena.

Sheres says, "Our friend Eltan is a good fellow."

Eltan waves to all.

Faustaff says, "Welcome Eltan"

Eltan says, "You flatter me Lord Sheres"

Sheres says, "He wanted to see our ranks, he is considering joining our family too."

Sheres says, "I welcome him."

Zantar cheers at Eltan!

Valvan says, "Ahh recruit."

Sheres chuckles.

Valvan says, "I too shall welcome him"

Sheres says, "Now if there is not anything else, let us raid our vault!"

Grimbeorn says, "Welcome Eltan"

Ktuur says, "I has one last thing ta say, if'n it please those assembled."

Sheres says, "I know your swords are itching to work."

Sheres says, "Please Ktuur."

Nasreena says, "Thank you"

Ktuur says, "All this talk o' brotherly comradeship has got me itchin ta add ta me collection of elf ears!  After we raid th'vault, I'm off ta the frontier!!  =D"
